2025 November PAD Challenge: Day 22

In this post, I will continue with the back log of poems from the 2025 November Poem a Day Challenge. I will keep posting on Wednesday until I have posted all the poems from the November 2025 PAD Challenge. There are eight poems left in my notebook from this challenge last November. This will lead me up to the second week of the April 2026 Poem a Day Challenge. I am really looking forward to it!

The prompt for this day was to write a memory poem. Here’s the link to the original prompt: https://www.writersdigest.com/2025-november-pad-chapbook-challenge-day-22

“Memories”

By Alissa Dedic

like a movie playing in my head

I see Mom’s face

I feel her warm embrace

I can’t hear her voice or laugh

but I have the memory of her words

like guides leading me back

away from the grief

a path back to the life she wanted for me
