Today’s prompt is to write an explanation poem. My kids have asked to explain some things in life that are difficult to explain.

Here’s my rough draft

“Explain Life”

I don’t have an explanation

I don’t know why I do what I do

I have no clarifying statements

I have no words of advice

I can’t say how life turns out

or why other have it easy

I know many things aren’t jsut

life isn’t fair or easy . . .

but

I do know God is fair and easy

God reverses motives, values, destinies

from the inside out

I don’t need to know why

I don’t need an explanation

I do trust God is in control

and has good things planned for you and me
