Poem a Day: Day 15

The writing prompt is to write two poems, one form poem and one anti-form poem. I may have mixed both together to write my two poems. The first poem is a shape but doesn’t follow conventional poetic forms. The second is a tricube, which is three syllables, three lines, and three stanzas. I played with it a little and linked three tricube poems together to tell a story.

I made this first poem with Canva. It has no title yet.

Here’s my anti-form poem:

Untitled by Alissa Dedic

Here’s my second poem.

Lost in Time by Alissa Dedic

Revolver

unknown loss

one morning

in the field

he found you

one morning

in the grass

skeleton

revolver

metal bones

Lost

useful tool

companion

protector

lost somewhere

in the field

seen no more

did he look

take notice

when you fell

Time

wind and rain

decay wood

to dust, dirt

you sit watch

sun rises up

sun sets down

days to years

tale untold

he found you
